Exfoliation and chemical peels go together like peanut butter & jelly. If there was ever a reset button for your skin, this is it.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning consists of a manual exfoliation of the epidermis using a sterile surgical blade removing dead skin cells and impurities, resulting in smoother skin. Other benefits include a greater absorption of topical products, removal of vellus hair (“peach fuzz”), diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, primes the skin for deeper penetration of a chemical peel, and creates a healthier appearance.

There is no pain or swelling involved in dermaplaning. If this treatment is performed, Samantha will cleanse your skin and a pumpkin enzyme mask is also applied for a deeper exfoliation. This is a great first time treatment, if you are a little nervous about chemical peels or if you experience extreme dryness.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is another exfoliation technique that can resurface deeper than dermaplaning can. Microdermabrasion uses a diamond tipped wand that’s pulled across the surface of the skin, while a vacuum sucks up dead skin cells and debris. Better efficacy is achieved in reducing hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and acne scarring.

While you’ll notice a difference with one treatment, the benefits are best seen with a series of treatments within 1-2 weeks of eachother. Chemical peels are great in combination with micros also. Once you have a consultation with Samantha, she can design a treatment plan that’s best for you.
